| The energy transmitted from the loudspeakers to the amplifier puts a high demand on the quality of the cable. The cable's impedance must remain identical irrespective of variations in intensity or frequency. Their encapsulation protects them from corrosion and at the same time prevents them from producing phantom images due to the memory effect. After numerous prototypes we chose a structure with three conductors with multiple strands of silver plated copper, encapsulated with extruded Teflon PTFE for anincreased insulation (1kV). The silver copper mix we use as a conductor is the same as the aviation industry uses for those connections that need to sustain enormous stress levels whilst maintaining high levels of reliability. The Teflon PTFE used is the real Polytetrafluoroethylene which is expensive, but known for its excellence as an insulating material. Here it is used in its thickest version which guarantees an insulation capable of withstanding 1000 volts. Additionally this guarantees an exceptional attenuation of the memory effect which preserves a constant impedance to the highest frequencies. You've got to hear it to believe it ! Just when we thought we knew exactly what type of cable would suit a certain type of loudspeaker, the Maxitrans showed us that the opposite was true. We used it with equal success on systems with a high and a very low sensitivity. This characteristic is unique to this day. |
