| During tests with mains cords we observed that by disconnecting the ground conductor we obtained a much better sound restitution. However it would be perilous to provide mains cords with a disconnected ground conductor. During our investigations we noted that the occurred pollutions are not due to the ground itself but to the ground between products connected through a distribution bar. Our listening tests showed that the sound quality depended mainly from the structure used for the ground driver. Therefore we realized this mains cord with active conductors similar to those used for the low frequencies in a loudspeaker i.e. with very large strands. The ground driver has the triple twisted wiring structure used for our MAXITRANS loudspeaker cable. This conductor is released from its shielding function, which is carried out by an aluminum film connected to the ground on the mains plug side. By associating this mains cord with our audio interconnect and loudspeaker cables you are ensured to obtain an outstanding sound quality. |
