The SOBEK is derived from the structure of the NEPHTHYS but it adds an extra shielding against low frequency magnetic fields and Gamma rays. This shielding is added to the already available anti RFI/EMI braids, creating a anti-magnetic zone in which the signal is protected from any polutants. |

| A 75 Ohms coaxial cable for the transmission of the digital signal plays an important role in your playback chain. In fact, digital signals are situated basically above 3 MHz and the nature of their "square" wave form gives them an almost infinite harmonic superiority. One could even say that their quality will depend on their frequency spectrum, since that will directly determine how steep the sides of the wave form are. The SOBEK possesses three essential qualities that distinguishes it from some of the other high performance 75 ohm digital cables on the market: insulation by a 2mm thick layer of PTFE between conductors, central conductor made of strands of 26/100 in order to significantly reduce the audible distortions caused by skin effect and a highly conductible braided shield. The insulation by PTFE avoids the energy release that can include phase distortions into the signal (memory or skin effect). It allows a coherent propagation even up to the highest frequency signals while remaining in phase. A central conductor with 7 strands of 26/100 in silver plated copper wire can transmit the highest frequencies without the distortions caused by skin effect due to its small diameter. The braid consists of a significant mass of wound silver plated copper strands, giving it a total protection against various RF distortions but it also assures optimal conduction for earth leakage currents which diminishes the adverse effect on the creation of jitter.
